Every year our undergraduate lecturing team look forward to welcoming new and continuing students who come to us to advance their studies. Students choose to study with us after completing all types of level 3 programmes such as BTECs, Access courses and A-levels. We have many students who come to us from industry and employment who are looking to enhance their career and progression opportunities. We also have a large number of mature applicants who are looking for a career-change or simply because the time is right for them to start that higher qualification they have always dreamed of. High quality at a lower fee

We don’t charge the same high tuition fees as universities, our fees for 2019/20 are as follows:

Our higher education lecturing team are passionate about their subjects, they are industry professionals or academics within their subject specialisms.  The results of our 2018/19 cross-campus Teaching, Learning and Assessment survey shows that:

Timetabling to suit you

We recognise that our students have commitments outside of college, be they work or family commitments. We timetable our higher education courses flexibly so you can fit your studies around those commitments. We offer the majority of our courses on a full time or part time basis. We offer ‘step off’ points so you can leave with a qualification that is portable and allows you to resume the next stage of study at a later date if this suits you best, for example, we offer many HNC courses that can be achieved in one year, there is then the opportunity to progress to a second year of study and ‘top up’ to an HND or leave with the HNC certificate and progress to the HND at a later date. We also offer full and part time Foundation Degrees, top-up degrees or full degrees.

Dedicated facilities and support

All of our undergraduate students have a dedicated academic personal tutor who provides academic support on a one to one basis throughout your studies. We also have a dedicated specialist learning support team in college who can advise and support you if you have additional learning needs. We have exclusive HE Hubs on our campuses, these are dedicated HE spaces where you can take time to relax, use for quiet study or complete work in the IT suite.

Smaller class sizes

Our class sizes are deliberately smaller than you will find at a university and you can expect between 12 and 15 hours of (full time) teaching contact time per week. Having smaller groups means the lecturing staff get to know you and your learning needs and the sessions are friendly and supportive.

Work-skills and employability

All of our undergraduate programmes are designed with the needs and demands of employers in mind, in many cases our curriculum has been developed with employers and students work on ‘live briefs’. Students can expect work-skills and employability skills to be embedded within their curriculum which ensures students gain not only the academic knowledge but also essential transferable skills.
